Makes 8 servings
500g Frozen Mixed Vetables, thawed
1kg Pasta Sauce
1kg Mashed Potato
50g of Butter
Mainland Buttersoft Salted Spreadable Butter
125ml of Milk
A2 Full Cream Milk
Sea Salt, to taste
Black Pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium–high heat. Add the beef mince, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until the moisture evaporates, and the mince begins to brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the frozen mixed vegetables and stir to combine. Pour in the pasta sauce, stir well, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced).
  4. Prepare homemade mash (if making from scratch) - Place chopped potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with cold salted water. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes or until tender. Drain well and return to the pan. Allow to steam dry for 2–3 minutes. Add butter and warm milk, then mash until smooth and creamy. Season well.
  5. Transfer the mince mixture into a large pie dish or baking dish. Spoon the mashed potato evenly over the top and season well.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the mashed potatoes are golden brown. Stand for 5 minutes before serving.
