Makes 4 servings500g Beef Blade or Rump Steak, Cut Into Strips
1 × 175g Packet Beef Stroganoff Recipe Base
200g Cream Cheese, Softened
200g Mushrooms, Sliced
Directions
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until lightly browned on all sides.
- Add the MasterFoods Recipe Base and 1½ cups (375ml) water to the pan. Stir well to combine.
- Reduce the heat to low and allow the mixture to simmer gently for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until the beef becomes tender.
- About 20 minutes before serving, add the cream cheese and stir until it melts into the sauce, creating a rich and creamy gravy.
- Add the mushrooms and continue to simmer for a further 10 minutes, or until the mushrooms are soft and tender.
- Serve the beef stroganoff hot with rice, pasta or mashed potatoes for a hearty and comforting meal.
