Make Taco Tuesday a weekly event with Old El Paso Taco Kit Mexican Style 12 Pack. This mild taco kit includes 12 Old El Paso Original Taco Shells, 1 Old El Paso Spice Mix and 1 Old El Paso Tomato Salsa for topping, making it easy to prepare crunchy corn tacos at home.

To make the most of your taco kit, add 500g of lean beef mince, 1 small onion, 1 cup of sour cream, the juice of 1 lime, ½ baby green cabbage, shredded, and 1 carrot, grated. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and cook the onion until soft. Sizzle and stir the meat over high heat for about 5 minutes. Add the taco spice mix and ½ cup of water, then simmer until the sauce thickens. Combine the sour cream and lime juice.

Make the tacos extra crunchy by preheating the oven to 180°C conventional (160°C fan-forced). Remove the taco shells from the plastic, keep the heatproof wedge inside the shells to retain their shape, fan the tacos slightly apart on a tray and heat for 5 minutes. Alternatively, place the taco shells on a microwaveable plate and heat for 30–40 seconds on full power at 1200 watts. Load the tacos with taco beef, cabbage and carrot, drizzle with lime sour cream and top with saucy salsa. For a vegetarian option, swap the meat for beans. As a top tip, replace the beef mince with roughly chopped zucchini and mushrooms. Each kit makes 12 crunchy corn tacos in less than 20 minutes.
